Day 1: Champagne and Reims

  • Drive to Reims with your professional driver-guide (approximately 2h from Paris), or opt for a first-class train ride (around 1h from Paris).
  • Enjoy the scenic views of the Marne Valley, known for its picturesque vineyards and historical significance during World War I.
  • Visit Épernay's Avenue du Champagne, home to famous Champagne houses like Moët & Chandon, Pommery, Taittinger, Mumm, Mercier, Perrier Jouët, Pol Roger, and Veuve Clicquot.
  • Take a cellar tour and enjoy a Champagne tasting at one of the major houses (subject to availability).
  • Enjoy a traditional French déjeuner in Hautvillers, or opt for a 3-course tasting menu at Pommery, paired with 3 different champagnes (€135 per person). Alternatively, if the weather allows, enjoy a picnic amidst the vineyards.
  • Explore the medieval village of Hautvillers, where Dom Pérignon once lived.

Embark on a scenic journey along the renowned wine route, known as the "Champs-Élysées of Burgundy." Drive through the prestigious Côte de Nuits vineyards and stop at the iconic Romanée-Conti, a 4.5-acre plot producing the world’s most expensive wine.

  • Explore quaint, storybook villages along the way: Levernois, Volnay, Meursault, Mercurey, and Pommard, which is home to a stunning castle.
  • Drive to Lyon with your professional driver-guide (approximately 1h30min from Beaune) or take a train from Beaune to Lyon (around 1h30min).
  • Overnight in the historical center of Lyon.

Day 4: Lyon History and Gastronomy

  • Start your day exploring Lyon with a local guide. Ride the funicular for stunning panoramic views (on clear days, you might see Mont Blanc 100 miles away).
