Giverny and Versailles

Giverny and Versailles

The Painter’s Paradise
and the King’s Dream

This combined tour is a perfect day trip from Paris that will immerse you in two private paradises—different in scale but similar in ambition.

Begin with Giverny and discover the charming decor of the Monets’ house and the vibrant beauty of their gardens, which inspired such masterpieces as the Waterlilies. We will explore Claude Monet’s passion for flowers and Japanese art, his family, and the birth of Impressionism, along with the influence of his fellow artists such as Renoir, Degas, Morisot, Sisley, and Pissarro on Modern art.

At Versailles, experience the grandeur of Louis XIV, the “Sun King,” and his royal court. Discover the hidden stories of queens, courtesans, and the court’s intrigue. Learn how the architecture, decor, paintings, and gardens reflect the French monarchy’s vision of absolute power. A memorable day of art, history, and royal splendor awaits!
