Avignon, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Paris to Avignon by TGV. Take a morning first-class train TGV (high-speed train) from Paris to Avignon (around 3 hours). Upon arrival, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel.

Avignon highlights. Explore Avignon with a guided tour of the Palais des Papes, the Pont Saint-Bénézet (Avignon Bridge), and the vibrant Provençal market.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Discover the pope’s summer residency in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and enjoy a wine tasting at a renowned local wine estate.

    Luberon Perched villages and lavender fields

    Gordes. Enjoy a private guided tour through one of Provence’s most enchanting regions. Begin with Gordes, often called the “balcony of Provence,” dominated by its impressive castle-fortress and panoramic views.

    Roussillon and ochre landscapes. Wander through the colorful streets of Roussillon and follow its famous ochre trail, shaped by centuries of pigment extraction.

    Lavender traditions. Visit a lavender distillery and, in season, stroll through nearby lavender fields to experience Provence at its most iconic (lavender blooms from mid-June to mid-August; poppies bloom in May). Opt for a professional photo shoot among the fields.

    Hilltop villages. Discover the charming perched villages of Ménerbes and Bonnieux, offering timeless architecture and sweeping views over the Luberon countryside.

    Lacoste and the Marquis de Sade. Visit Lacoste village and see the birthplace and monument of the Marquis de Sade, set against the dramatic Provençal landscape.

      Olive oil tasting. Experience an olive oil tasting at a local organic producer, learning about traditional Provençal techniques.

      Les Baux-de-Provence. Discover this dramatic medieval village perched on a rocky spur with breathtaking views over the Alpilles.

      Saint-Paul-de-Mausole. Visit the peaceful monastery where Van Gogh lived and painted during one of his most creative periods.

      Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Stroll through Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a charming town filled with Roman heritage, elegant boutiques, and authentic Provençal ambiance.

      Alpilles park and Carrières de Lumières. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Alpilles Natural Reserve, framed by limestone hills, olive groves, and vineyards, with a brief stop at the Carrières de Lumières for an immersive digital art experience set inside a former stone quarry.

        Roman heritage: Nimes, Pont du Gard, Orange

        Nîmes. Enjoy a guided tour of Nîmes’ old town, discovering its remarkably preserved Roman monuments and refined southern atmosphere.

        Orange. Optionally, choose to explore the town of Orange and its magnificent Roman amphitheater, one of the best preserved in the world and still used for performances today.

        Pont du Gard. Visit the Pont du Gard, a spectacular three-tier Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage Site, set within a dramatic natural landscape.

          Aix-en-Provence and Modern Art

          Aix-en-Provence. Discover Aix-en-Provence with a guided walk through the historic old town and its lively Provençal market, rich in local flavors and craftsmanship.

          Château La Coste. Visit Château La Coste, a unique art and architecture foundation set among vineyards, with the option to enjoy a wine tasting.

          Optional art visits. Explore the Vasarely Art Foundation’s immersive optical works or visit the Atelier Cézanne for an intimate look into the painter’s creative world.

            Marseille, Cassis, Calanques

            Marseille highlights. Discover Marseille’s essentials, from the historic Old Port to Notre-Dame de la Garde, the bold architecture of the MUCEM, and a scenic drive along the Kennedy Corniche.

            Cassis and Cap Canaille. Visit the charming fishing village of Cassis and admire breathtaking views from Cap Canaille, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Optional wine tasting at a small local Cassis appellation winery.

            Calanques National Park. Explore the Calanques on a one-hour boat tour, gliding between dramatic limestone fjords and turquoise waters.

              Bandol wine region

              Le Castellet and Saint-Baume. Explore the perched village of Le Castellet, offering sweeping views over the Sainte-Baume Regional Park, traditionally associated with the final years of Mary Magdalene.

              Bandol wines. Visit two of the renowned Bandol wine estates for tastings, followed by a relaxed lunch in the hilltop village of La Cadière-d’Azur.

              Évenos. Discover the village of Évenos, home to striking 11th-century castle ruins built from black stone, with panoramic views over the Ollioules Canyon.

              Sanary-sur-Mer. Stroll through the picturesque harbor where Jacques-Yves Cousteau began his diving adventures.

              Six-Fours viewpoint. Admire a breathtaking panorama of the Côte d’Azur from the historic Six-Fours Fort.

                Hyères and Bormes-les-Mimosas. Stroll through the palm-lined avenues of Hyères and the flower-filled streets of Bormes-les-Mimosas, a beautifully preserved medieval hilltop village ranked among France’s most charming.

                Île de Porquerolles. Sail to Porquerolles to enjoy pristine beaches, pine forests, and a visit to the contemporary art collections of the Carmignac Foundation.

                Almanarre Beach. End the day at Almanarre Beach, watching the sunset over the bay as pink flamingos gather along the shoreline.

                  Verdon Natural Park. Venture into the Verdon Natural Park, where striking turquoise waters cut through Europe’s deepest canyon, creating one of France’s most dramatic landscapes.

                  Your Verdon experience. Choose your adventure: a sunrise hot-air balloon flight, a scenic drive along panoramic viewpoints, or a kayak excursion beneath the canyon’s limestone walls.
