        Then, head to the Cap Canaille Viewpoint, 1,300 feet above sea level, offering sweeping views of the Mediterranean coastline and the Calanques national park.

          Marseille Highlights

          Old Port and Le Panier. Continue with a scenic drive and guided walk through Marseille’s oldest neighborhoods, from the Old Port and its morning fish market to Le Panier, the city’s historic heart filled with artist studios, galleries, and cafés.

          MUCEM and the waterfront. Visit the MUCEM, a striking contemporary museum dedicated to Mediterranean civilizations, and admire nearby highlights such as Fort Saint-Jean, the Cathédrale Sainte-Marie-Majeure, and the Villa Méditerranée.

          Kennedy Corniche and Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde.
