Where Vines Meet
Storybook Villages
Whether a wine lover, connoisseur, or curious beginner, we invite you to embark on this journey along the famed Alsace Wine Route. Spanning around 170 kilometers, it winds through vineyards and medieval villages, revealing more than 1,000 wineries nestled between the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine plain.
Alsace is renowned for its white varieties—Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Muscat—typically crafted as single-varietal wines that express the region’s diverse soils, from granite and limestone to marl and sandstone. Benefiting from one of France’s driest and sunniest climates, the vineyards produce highly aromatic wines, including prestigious Grands Crus and late-harvest styles such as Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles. Along the route, discover charming villages like Riquewihr and Eguisheim, explore hilltop castles, meet the producers behind family-run estates and enjoy tastings at such renowned houses as Dopff au Moulin, Emile Beyer, Trimbach, Marcel Deiss, or Zusslin.
